  • ISS WAS?!

    from March 21st 2026

An interactive exhibition about smelling, eating, and tasting
for children and families aged 4 and up

We all have one thing in common: Everyone needs to eat!

In the supermarket, we find a huge selection of food from all over the world, no matter the season. But do you know where our food comes from and what’s in it? See how vegetables grow and why water is so precious. Try milking our cow and learn how milk becomes butter. Find out how many apples are in a glass of juice and grind grain into flour. Grab a recipe and go shopping at the supermarket.

All your senses are invited to participate: An oversized nose and a giant tongue invite you to discover why smelling and tasting are so important when eating. How does digestion work, and how does your tongue know what tastes sweet and what tastes sour? Discover the different tastes and the world’s most popular dish. Learn how smell warns you of danger, why your mouth sometimes waters, and let the scented flowers guide you.
